Todd Pedersen

Todd R. Pedersen is a Board Member at Vivint Smart Home and an independent investor based in Provo, Utah. He originally founded the residential security and smart home technology company in 1999 and served as its Chief Executive Officer for 20 years before stepping down to pursue new entrepreneurial ventures. Under his executive leadership, Vivint scaled into one of the largest smart home technology providers currently operating in the North American market. Pedersen has received multiple industry accolades, including the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and the Utah Entrepreneur of the Year designation from the Mountain West Capital Network. Following his formal induction into the David Eccles School of Business Hall of Fame, his current professional focus centers on corporate governance and private investments across the broader technology sector.
