Tom Chavez is the co-founder of super{set}, a venture studio that founds and funds technology companies, based in San Francisco, California. Prior to this role, he served as the CEO and co-founder of Krux, a data management platform acquired by Salesforce in 2016, and he previously co-founded Rapt, which was purchased by Microsoft in 2008. Over his two-decade entrepreneurial career, his ventures have generated a 17.5x return for investors, and he maintains a personal investment portfolio including companies like SafeGraph, Flexe, and Datavant. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and philosophy from Harvard University and a doctorate in engineering-economic systems and operations research from Stanford University, where he was a NASA Doctoral Fellow. Chavez currently focuses on leveraging his deep expertise in data, decision science, and artificial intelligence to build and scale early-stage enterprise software startups.
