Tom Chi

Tom Chi is a Partner and Co-founder at At One Ventures, an investment firm he established in 2020 alongside Laurie Menoud and Helen Lin. Prior to his transition into the venture capital sector, he held product and engineering roles at major technology corporations, including Microsoft and Google. During his tenure at Yahoo, he contributed to the development of Yahoo Search and successfully scaled the Yahoo Answers platform from its inception to 90 million users. Additionally, Chi spent a decade serving as an engineering professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and operated as Chief Technology Officer for two deep technology startups focused on automation and biology. His current investment strategy centers on backing early-stage deep tech companies that develop hardware and software solutions to address global climate challenges and transform industrial production methods.
