Tom Kist

Tom Kist is the Founder and Managing Partner of Slingshot Ventures, a growth capital investment firm based in the Netherlands. He began his professional career in corporate finance, holding various international roles across Asia, Australia, and South America while working at TNT Group and CEVA Logistics. Following these corporate positions, Kist transitioned to the private equity sector, where he subsequently established the Dutch mid-market private equity division for Nedvest Capital. During his tenure at Nedvest Capital, his core responsibilities encompassed deal origination, transaction execution, debt financing, portfolio leadership, and overseeing corporate exits. In early 2014, he shifted his investment strategy toward early-stage growth ventures, co-leading new funding initiatives alongside his partner Marco. Today, Kist focuses primarily on providing growth capital and financial backing to emerging B2C and B2B2C businesses operating within the Dutch market.
