Tom Nickoloff

Tom Nickoloff is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of BlueStone Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Through the firm's fund, which closed in December 2019, he directs investments averaging $100,000 into emerging companies across the biotechnology, diagnostics, health information technology, and medical device sectors. Before establishing BlueStone, Nickoloff was a founding member of the private investment firm Camino Real Capital Partners and founded Black Dog Holdings. He also holds extensive executive experience in the energy sector, serving as President and Chief Geophysicist at TRNCO Petroleum Corporation and holding leadership roles at Estancia Oil and Gas. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Geophysical Engineering from The Colorado School of Mines, he developed award-winning 3D seismic technologies before transitioning his focus toward early-stage life sciences venture capital.
