Tom Raffin

Tom Raffin is a Venture Partner at Telegraph Hill Partners based in San Francisco, California. Prior to his venture capital career, he spent 24 years on the faculty at the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care and co-founded the Center for Biomedical Ethics. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded Rigel Pharmaceuticals before establishing Telegraph Hill Partners, a life sciences investment firm that has raised nearly $1 billion and backed over 40 companies. Raffin has held board positions at numerous healthcare and medical device companies, guiding firms like AngioScore, Confirma, and PneumRx through successful acquisitions while supporting public entities such as Akoya Biosciences.
