Tomás Peña

Tomás Peña is the Managing Director of The Yield Lab LATAM, an agrifoodtech venture capital firm based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Before establishing the Latin American branch of the accelerator and fund in 2017, he accumulated 20 years of experience in private banking and financial innovation. Peña previously co-founded S4, an early agricultural technology startup that enabled row crop farmers to transfer risk to financial markets across the United States and Latin America. S4 subsequently became a portfolio company of The Yield Lab North America, bridging his entrepreneurial background with his current investment career. As an active participant in the regional ecosystem, he frequently speaks at industry events such as the World Agri-Tech South America Summit. His current focus centers on funding disruptive agricultural technologies and developing the broader agritech startup ecosystem throughout Latin America.
