Tony Spinelli

Tony Spinelli is the Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Urban One Inc. and a Venture Partner at Sorenson Capital. Over a 25-year career, he has served as Chief Information Security Officer for major public corporations including Capital One, Tyco International, Equifax, and First Data. He began his technology consulting career in 1996 at Ernst & Young, where he helped pioneer the firm's initial cybersecurity practice alongside the future leaders of Crowdstrike and Cylance. As an active angel investor and corporate director, Spinelli has backed prominent cybersecurity firms such as FireEye and BlueCoat while serving on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association's Cyber Subcommittee. He holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a BS from Saint Louis University, currently focusing on guiding corporate digital transformation and identifying early-stage cloud security investments.
