Toot Shani

Toot Shani is the Founding Managing Partner and CEO of Sarona Ventures, overseeing a $25 million venture capital fund focused on early-stage Israeli technology startups. Before establishing the firm, she sold her first business, Tosh Productions, at age 24 and subsequently led large-scale economic development initiatives for the World Bank Group, the European Commission, and the World Economic Forum. Her active investment portfolio features high-performing companies such as Verbit and Deel, alongside notable strategic exits including Donde to Shopify and Hofy to Deel. In 2024, Shani launched the Sarona TechShield Reverse Fund with backing from over 60 global investors, completing five new investments and a dozen follow-on transactions across the ecosystem. Her current focus centers on identifying emerging Israeli technology ventures, particularly those leveraging generative AI to drive global economic development and enterprise innovation.
