Tre Baker

Tre Baker is a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) based in San Francisco, California, where he focuses on seed and Series A investments in enterprise software and artificial intelligence. Before joining NEA as a Principal, he worked as a Product Manager at Palantir Technologies and held various software engineering roles. Throughout his venture capital career, Baker has backed more than 20 early-stage companies and deployed over $100 million in capital, with notable portfolio exits including the 2024 acquisition of Lacework by Fortinet. He recently led a $50 million Series A funding round for an AI security startup in early 2026 and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School alongside an engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. Baker currently leverages his combined engineering and operational expertise to scale early-stage enterprise SaaS, AI infrastructure, and cybersecurity startups.
