Tripp Shriner

Tripp Shriner is a General Partner at Portage based in New York City, where he focuses on directing capital into early-stage and later-stage financial services technology companies globally. In this role, he oversees a $280 million continuation vehicle backed by Goldman Sachs Alternatives that acquired select fintech assets from his previous firm. Prior to joining Portage, Shriner was a founding employee and Managing Partner at Point72 Ventures, leading the financial technology investment team and managing a portfolio of over 40 companies. During his tenure there, he led a $10 million Series A round for D2X in 2024, building on his earlier career at J.P. Morgan in strategic investments and equity capital markets, and as a Principal at City Light Capital. He holds an AB in Politics from Princeton University and is a CFA Charterholder.
