Troy Kirwin

Troy Kirwin is a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz and Cohort Lead for the a16z speedrun accelerator program, based in San Francisco, California. Before joining the venture capital firm, he served as a Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy and Development at Unity, where he successfully led more than 20 acquisitions, including the notable purchases of Parsec and IronSource. He began his professional career in investment banking at Jefferies, advising media and technology clients, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. In his current investing capacity, Kirwin has backed numerous early-stage technology startups, building a portfolio that includes companies such as Hedra, Backflip, K-ID, and Nunu.ai. His primary investment focus centers on business-to-business artificial intelligence and creative technologies, specifically targeting next-generation storytelling, design tools, 3D simulations, and vertical AI agents.
