Tsuyoshi Ito

Tsuyoshi Ito is the Founder CEO and Managing Partner of Beyond Next Ventures, a deep tech venture capital firm based in Tokyo, Japan. Before establishing the firm in 2014, he spent over a decade at JAFCO, where he served as Group Leader and led industry-academia collaboration investments resulting in notable IPOs for companies like CYBERDYNE. Ito currently manages approximately $270 million in assets under management, and he has directed investments into more than 80 early-stage startups across healthcare, robotics, and biotechnology. He holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and he serves as a guest professor at both Nagoya University and Hiroshima University. His current focus centers on commercializing academic research and building deep tech ecosystems through specialized acceleration programs and operating shared laboratory spaces like Beyond BioLAB TOKYO.
