Tuan-Anh Tran

Tuan-Anh Tran is the Co-founder and CEO of Solano Energy, an asset-light power company established in 2022 that focuses on residential solar energy generation, storage, and distribution. Before founding Solano Energy, he worked in venture capital, serving as a Venture Partner and Deeptech Investor at Alabaster from 2018 to 2021, and as a Venture Scout at AirTree Ventures in 2020. During his tenure in venture capital, Tran directed investments into several prominent technology startups, including Redefine Meat, Neptune Robotics, and Otter.ai. He holds a doctorate and an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford, where he also completed studies at the Saïd Business School, and has served as a Scaleup Mentor for late-stage clean-energy startups at EnergyLab. Tran leverages his academic background and investment experience to build scalable renewable energy solutions within the deeptech and clean technology sectors.
