Tunga Bayrak

Tunga Bayrak is the CEO and Co-founder of Freya, an artificial intelligence startup focused on developing visual language models and advanced geometric reasoning technologies. Before founding Freya, he worked as an AI Research Engineer and Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where his academic work specifically centered on building audio transformers. Bayrak demonstrated early mathematical proficiency by publishing quantum machine learning research at age 16 and ranking first among 250,000 participants at the Urfodu Math Olympiad. Additionally, he placed 203rd out of more than 3.5 million students in Turkey's national university examinations before ultimately dropping out of his undergraduate program at the University of Pennsylvania to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. His current focus centers on advancing deep tech applications through his leadership at Freya, bridging his rigorous academic background in complex machine learning with commercial startup execution.
