Ulrik Stig Hansen

Ulrik Stig Hansen is the Co-Founder and President of Encord, an artificial intelligence data development platform based in London, United Kingdom. Before establishing Encord, he served as the Head of Product at Tractable, where he developed his expertise in computer vision and machine learning applications. Under his leadership, the Y Combinator-backed startup has grown to over 100 employees and secured approximately $60 million in total funding, including a $45 million Series B round in 2023 supported by MMC Ventures and Lakestar. The platform is currently utilized by more than 3,000 teams to manage and annotate visual data, recently expanding its capabilities with the launch of the automated data selection tool Encord Active in March 2024. Hansen focuses on scaling AI infrastructure and providing advanced data annotation tools to accelerate machine learning workflows for enterprise adoption.
