Uzoma "Zo" Orchingwa

Uzoma "Zo" Orchingwa is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Emerge Career, an education technology and workforce development platform based in New York, New York. He directs growth, operations, and corporate strategy for the Y Combinator-backed startup, which launched during the Summer 2022 batch and currently operates with a dedicated team of approximately three to eight employees. Prior to this venture, Orchingwa co-founded Ameelio, a prize-winning nonprofit technology organization that builds free communication and education software products for incarcerated individuals across the country. His academic background includes earning a Master of Philosophy in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, alongside completing a joint JD-MBA program at Yale Law School and the Yale School of Management. His current focus centers entirely on leveraging technology to facilitate criminal justice reform by providing vocational training and solving complex post-incarceration unemployment challenges.
