Vab Goel is the Founding Partner at NTT Venture Capital, where he leads early-stage technology investments globally. Prior to establishing the venture firm, he spent 19 years as a venture capitalist at Norwest Venture Partners. He also founded Virtela, an enterprise networking company that was subsequently acquired by NTT. Earlier in his career, Goel led Internet Engineering and Emerging Technologies at Qwest and served as an early engineering team member at Sprint, where he architected the telecommunications company's global IP backbone. His extensive investment portfolio includes early backing of prominent technology companies such as Apigee, which was acquired by Google, and Ravello, which was purchased by Oracle. Drawing on over two decades of experience as a technologist and entrepreneur, Goel currently focuses on scaling early-stage startups across the internet infrastructure, networking, and emerging technology sectors.
