Valentine Mayaki is a Founder and software engineer at Shekel Mobility, a B2B automotive dealership marketplace based in Lagos, Nigeria. Established in 2022, the enterprise participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2023 batch and has subsequently expanded to an active 18-person workforce generating $2 million in revenue. Before launching this mobility platform, Mayaki accumulated over ten years of technical experience building scalable software applications across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on financial technology. During his earlier career, he held engineering positions at notable technology companies including Nextravel and the global talent network Andela. He initially developed the Shekel Mobility infrastructure on a part-time basis for fifteen months before dedicating himself entirely to the growing startup. Mayaki's current focus remains on combining his engineering expertise with fintech innovation to scale digital infrastructure for auto dealers throughout Africa.
