Vaughn Blake is a Partner at Blue Bear Capital and the Founder and Managing Director of Autochrome Ventures, based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. Prior to establishing his own early-stage firm, he managed hedge fund and venture capital investment strategies for a Southern California family office, having initiated his private investment career in the early 2010s with allocations in the cryptocurrency and blockchain sectors. As an active institutional investor, he currently holds formal board of director positions at emerging technology companies such as Emerge and Transect. Blake originally completed his undergraduate education by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado College before entering the finance industry. His current investment focus centers on the intersection of policy and technology, specifically targeting renewable energy, energy transition, synthetic biology, and frontier technologies designed for industrial and enterprise-scale applications.
