Veniamin Veselovsky is the Co-founder of Chestnut Forty, an artificial intelligence forecasting company backed by the startup accelerator Y Combinator. Prior to launching his current venture, he was a doctoral student at Princeton University, where he focused his academic research on the development and application of large language models. His widely cited research on artificial intelligence has received notable media coverage and was recently featured in a 2025 video by the ACM regarding the prevalence of language models in crowd work. Before his doctoral studies, Veselovsky conducted international research across academic institutions in Toronto, Switzerland, and Germany, and briefly worked at a Ukrainian startup developing interactive tables. He ultimately left his academic program to build commercial applications, with his current focus centered on developing advanced AI forecasting agents designed to predict global macroeconomic events.
