Venky Ganesan

Venky Ganesan is a Partner at Menlo Ventures, focusing on early-stage venture investments across the consumer and enterprise technology sectors. Before joining the firm in 2013, he served as a Managing Director at Globespan Capital Partners and founded Trigo Technologies, which was acquired by IBM. Ganesan has led investments resulting in significant public market and acquisition exits, including Palo Alto Networks, Upwork, Redfin, and Rover. He currently holds board seats at more than nine active technology portfolio companies, such as Abnormal AI and BitSight, and previously served as Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association. His early career included roles as a Program Manager at Microsoft and a consultant at McKinsey and Company, following his graduation from Caltech and Reed College. Ganesan maintains a primary investment focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and infrastructure software startups.
