Vinay Iyengar

Vinay Iyengar is the founder and managing partner at Anansi Capital, an early-stage investment firm focused on transforming traditional backbone industries through the application of artificial intelligence. Prior to establishing his own fund, he served as a partner at Foundation Capital, officially joining the firm in April 2023 to lead investments across the modern enterprise technology stack. His earlier venture capital career includes dedicated investment roles at both Two Sigma Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners, where he evaluated and supported various emerging technology startups. He completed his undergraduate education at Harvard University, earning an A.B. degree in the class of 2018 before transitioning directly into the institutional venture capital industry. Today, Iyengar concentrates his primary investment strategy on funding founders building next-generation enterprise infrastructure, advanced developer tools, AI-enhanced applications, specialized vertical software, and innovative climate technology solutions.
