Vinay Shet

Vinay Shet is the Co-founder and CEO of Teleo, a technology company focused on retrofitting heavy construction equipment with autonomous and remote-operated capabilities. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and began his career as a Scientist at Siemens Corporate Research specializing in machine learning. Shet previously led product management at Google, where he directed initiatives for Street View and Google Maps, and co-created the "I'm not a robot" feature for Google reCAPTCHA. He later served as Director of Product Management at Lyft Level 5, overseeing autonomous vehicle mapping and data infrastructure while accumulating over 20 published papers and 25 patents throughout his career. His current focus centers on bridging deep technical expertise in computer vision with commercial applications to deploy supervised autonomous machines in the industrial sector.
