Vital Laptenok

Vital Laptenok is a General Partner at Flyer One Ventures based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Before entering venture capital, he spent over 15 years as an entrepreneur, notably co-founding the venture builder Genesis and the health and fitness application BetterMe in 2017. At Flyer One Ventures, Laptenok analyzes deals and sits on up to 10 portfolio boards, helping direct a firm that has invested nearly €38 million across more than 90 startups since 2018. He recently helped launch the firm's €50 million Fund V, which is backed by institutional investors including the International Finance Corporation. His early investment track record includes Vochi, a software startup that was successfully acquired by Pinterest. Laptenok currently focuses on providing up to €1.2 million in pre-seed and seed funding to founders leveraging Central and Eastern European tech talent for global markets.
