Vitalik Buterin

Vitalik Buterin is an independent investor and advisor operating in a personal capacity, currently based in Singapore, Singapore. He is best known as the primary co-founder of Ethereum, a smart contract blockchain platform that he launched in 2014 and which has since reached a market capitalization exceeding $300 billion. Before developing Ethereum alongside early contributors like Joseph Lubin and Gavin Wood, Buterin co-founded Bitcoin Magazine in 2011 and briefly studied computer science at the University of Waterloo. His philanthropic efforts include a notable 2021 donation of over $1 billion in cryptocurrency to India's COVID-19 relief fund, and he maintains a significant public presence with more than five million followers.
