W. Carter Neild

W. Carter Neild is a Managing Partner at OrbiMed, a global healthcare investment firm managing approximately $17 billion in total assets. Before joining OrbiMed, he served as a Director in the Alternative Investments Group at UBS and spent four years working in investment management at First Chicago, which is now part of JPMorgan. Neild earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University, completed a program at the Institute D’Etudes Politiques in Paris, and received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and serves as a member of both the Rockefeller University Council and the University of Chicago Booth Private Equity Council. His current investment focus centers on executing private healthcare transactions, managing royalty streams, and identifying strategic opportunities across Asian markets.
