Wade Foster is the co-founder and CEO of Zapier, a no-code automation platform, and operates remotely after previously being based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a degree in computer science from Washington University in St. Louis and began his career as a software engineer before bootstrapping his current venture as a side project in 2011. After participating in the Y Combinator accelerator program, Foster scaled the SaaS business to support over three million users and integrate more than 7,000 distinct applications. Under his leadership, the remote-first enterprise secured $1.4 billion in funding at a $5 billion valuation in October 2021 and recently introduced artificial intelligence features like Zapier Central in 2024. Foster currently focuses on expanding no-code productivity software, speaking at industry events like SaaStr, and developing remote work infrastructure for global organizations.
