Wei Gao

Wei Gao is a Venture Partner at Madrona Ventures based in Seattle, Washington. Prior to joining the firm in October 2022, she spent over 16 years at Amazon in various senior leadership positions, including Vice President of Amazon Grocery and Technical Advisor to founder Jeff Bezos from 2018 to 2020. During her tenure at the company, she also directed key initiatives across Commerce, Kindle, and Supply Chain Technologies. Subsequently, Gao served as Chief Operating Officer at the virtual events platform Hopin beginning in September 2021. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Pacific Science Center and advises portfolio companies for Madrona, a venture capital firm with $3 billion under management. Her current focus centers on early-stage technology startups, leveraging her two decades of executive experience in product development, digital transformation, and intelligent applications.
