Wei Lien Dang is a General Partner at Unusual Ventures, where he currently leads seed-stage investments across the security, machine learning, and Web3 infrastructure technology sectors. Prior to his transition into venture capital, he co-founded StackRox in 2015, establishing the enterprise startup as an early developer of Kubernetes-native container security solutions. Under his leadership as a founder, the company expanded its market presence within the rapidly growing DevOps ecosystem before being acquired by Red Hat in 2021 for an estimated hundreds of millions of dollars. At Unusual Ventures, Dang now leverages his extensive operational background in the container security space to identify and support early-stage technical founders building complex enterprise software. His current focus remains centered on investing in emerging infrastructure trends and guiding technical startups from initial product development through their critical early commercial growth phases.
