Wen Hsieh

Wen Hsieh is the Managing Partner at Presence Capital, a deep tech venture capital firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. In the first quarter of 2025, he led the firm in raising its $100 million Fund II to target seed and Series A investments across artificial intelligence and frontier technology. Prior to his current role, Hsieh co-founded and led SiFive, a RISC-V processor manufacturer that was acquired by Alphawave in March 2025 at a valuation exceeding $3 billion. His professional background also includes previous investment experience at Matrix Partners and a recent February 2025 board appointment at the AI networking startup Enfabrica. Holding a doctorate, master's, and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Caltech, Hsieh currently focuses on advising and funding early-stage startups that are transforming computational biology, semiconductors, and advanced hardware.
