Wenyi Cai

Wenyi Cai is the Founder and Managing Partner of Polymath Ventures and a Venture Partner at BAI Capital, based in Mexico City, Mexico. Prior to his current roles, Cai served as the Chief Operating Officer at Milo.com, a technology startup that was successfully acquired by eBay in 2010. He previously worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, following his graduation cum laude with degrees in philosophy and physics from Harvard College. Through Polymath Ventures, he operates as a dedicated company builder and investor in Spanish-speaking Latin America, while also holding a board of directors position at Autolab. Cai currently focuses his investment and venture studio activities on early-stage financial technology and verticalized software-as-a-service companies, specifically targeting seed and private credit opportunities across the region.
