Wesley Barnett

Wesley Barnett is a General Partner and Co-founder at TampaBay.Ventures, based in Winter Haven, Florida. In 2021, he launched the firm's inaugural $20 million seed fund alongside partner Tom Frederick to back regional early-stage technology startups. The investment vehicle targets capital deployments into 20 high-growth companies over a five-year period, focusing on specific sectors such as cybersecurity, healthcare, e-commerce, and financial technology across the Tampa Bay region. Barnett holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson. Beyond his venture capital activities, he maintains active involvement in commercial real estate development and serves on the board of directors for Citizens Bank & Trust and qGiv. His current focus centers on capitalizing early-stage, tech-enabled enterprises to accelerate regional economic growth throughout the broader Florida market.
