Xavier Mesnier

Xavier Mesnier is a Partner at Verve Ventures, where he currently leads the firm's health and bio investment practice. Since joining the European venture capital organization in 2018, he has specialized in screening, evaluating, and funding health and biotechnology startup opportunities across various regional technology hubs. Prior to his transition into institutional venture capital, Mesnier operated as a corporate intrapreneur at the multinational chemical manufacturer Givaudan and the Japanese diversified materials manufacturer Nitto Denko, working primarily out of Lausanne. During his tenure in these corporate innovation roles, he was responsible for developing and pitching early-stage medical device and agricultural technology projects directly to internal Japanese investment committees. Leveraging this extensive corporate development experience, his current professional focus centers on identifying, backing, and scaling emerging life sciences and biotechnology companies throughout the broader European startup ecosystem.
