Xuhui Shao

Xuhui Shao is the Managing Partner at Foothill Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm specializing in deep technology investments, and is originally from Hangzhou, China. He established his foundational technical expertise by studying automation at Tsinghua University before relocating to the United States to earn a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. In his current leadership capacity at Foothill Ventures, which was previously operating under the name Tsingyuan Ventures, Shao directs capital allocation strategies for emerging technology enterprises. His primary investment portfolio targets companies developing enterprise software, advanced artificial intelligence applications, and complex cross-disciplinary sensor, data, and automation technology stacks. Leveraging his rigorous academic background in engineering and computer science, Shao currently focuses on identifying, funding, and scaling deep technology startups that require highly specialized technical evaluation.
