Yago Montenegro Mendez

Yago Montenegro Mendez is a Partner at Mundi Ventures based in Madrid, Spain, where he focuses on early-stage technology investments. Prior to his current venture capital role, he served as Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at the insurtech startup GetLife, and worked as an Assistant Vice President of Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad. His earlier career includes traditional investment banking experience at Morgan Stanley, complementing a diverse academic background that features an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School and a master's degree in space science. At Mundi Ventures, he helps direct a fund managing over €500 million in assets, which has backed more than 60 companies and achieved eight successful exits to date. Montenegro Mendez currently focuses on identifying and scaling high-growth startups across the insurtech, fintech, and deeptech sectors throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
