Yat Siu

Yat Siu is the co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands and the founder and CEO of Outblaze, currently based in Hong Kong. He began his early technology career at Atari before establishing Outblaze in 1998, eventually selling the company's messaging unit to IBM in 2009 to help build a regional cloud computing laboratory. In 2014, Siu launched Animoca Brands, successfully scaling the digital entertainment enterprise to a $5.9 billion valuation with a portfolio of over 450 Web3 investments. Under his strategic direction, the firm operates major gaming platforms like The Sandbox and holds significant equity stakes in prominent blockchain entities, including OpenSea and Axie Infinity. Recently appointed to the Hong Kong government's Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development, Siu currently focuses on advancing decentralized digital property rights, play-to-earn gaming economies, and broader metaverse infrastructure.
