Yazan El-Baba

Yazan El-Baba is a Partner at Emergence Capital based in the metro-Detroit area of the United States. He originally joined the venture capital firm as an Associate in 2019 and was promoted to his current partnership role in 2024. During his tenure, he has made key contributions to the firm's investments in several early-stage technology startups, including Unify, Maze, Assembled, Together.ai, and Mechanical Orchard. Prior to entering the venture capital industry, El-Baba worked at LinkedIn in both business operations and corporate development, where he directed go-to-market strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate venture initiatives. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Michigan, which he successfully completed in 2017. His current professional focus centers on identifying and funding early-stage enterprise software companies, splitting his time evenly between B2B infrastructure and application-layer technologies.
