YB (Yongbai) Choi

YB (Yongbai) Choi is a Partner, Head of Venture Capital, and Executive Committee member at Cercano Management in the Seattle metro region. Before his current role, he joined Vulcan Capital in 2008 to focus on venture investing and previously served as a Manager in IP Acquisitions and Investments at Microsoft. His earlier career includes investment banking roles in mergers and acquisitions at Oppenheimer & Co. and healthcare at Cowen & Co., following a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Management Systems from Columbia University. As an early-stage investor, Choi has overseen more than 50 portfolio companies, leading to notable exits such as AI Reverie's acquisition by Meta and Pointy's acquisition by Google. He currently focuses his investments on funding innovative early-stage technology startups across diverse sectors, including artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and geospatial technology.
