YekSoon Lok

YekSoon Lok is the Managing Director at Beenext Capital, an early stage venture capital firm based in Singapore that focuses on regional technology startups. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer of Carousell, a consumer marketplace application that achieved unicorn status after raising more than $200 million in total venture funding. He holds a Bachelor in Computing from Monash University and has collaborated as an active angel investor alongside prominent investment firms such as East Ventures. At Beenext Capital, Lok oversees investments across Southeast Asia, recently helping to close a $100 million fund in 2024 to support a growing portfolio of over 50 companies, including logistics provider Ninja Van. His current focus centers on scaling early-stage consumer internet, e-commerce, and SaaS startups throughout the broader Southeast Asian technology ecosystem.
