Yoav Lurie is a software entrepreneur, operator, and investor who focuses on scaling impact companies across the technology and energy sectors. He previously founded Simple Energy alongside Justin Segall and served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Techstars accelerator graduate, which utilized behavioral science and gamification to promote energy conservation for utility customers. Before his tenure at Simple Energy, Lurie helped build the Washington District of Columbia IT services firm Synteractive, where he led the rebuild of the federal Recovery website for the United States government. His earlier career includes serving as a Managing Director for Teach For America and starting Camp Kesem while completing his undergraduate studies at Duke University.
