Yusuf Sherwani

Yusuf Sherwani is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pelago, a digital health company focused on substance use management, based in New York City. Before rebranding the enterprise to Pelago in early 2023, he established the platform as Quit Genius, scaling the business to deliver over 750,000 treatments to patients struggling with tobacco, alcohol, and opioid addictions. Under his executive leadership, the organization has secured more than $80 million in venture capital funding from prominent global investment firms, including Kinnevik, Atomico, and Octopus Ventures. Sherwani earned his medical degree from Imperial College London, where he co-authored several peer-reviewed academic research papers on behavioral health and digital therapeutics before transitioning directly into the technology sector.
