Yusuke Asakura is a Partner at Tokyo Founders Fund and a Visiting Scholar at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, based in Japan. After earning a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tokyo, he began his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company from 2007 to 2010. He subsequently founded the mobile technology startup Naked Technology, which was acquired in 2011 by mixi, where he later served as President and CEO until 2014. During his tenure at mixi, Asakura executed a diversification strategy that increased the company's market capitalization from $200 million to $4 billion, before completing a Visiting Scholar appointment at Stanford University in 2016. He currently serves as an Outside Director for multiple companies, including Septeni Holdings and Raksul Inc. His current focus centers on early-stage venture investments and advising technology startups.
