Zach Waterfield is a Toronto-based engineer and investor currently serving as a Senior Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, a Venture Partner at Ripple Ventures, and an engineer at PostHog. He previously worked as an engineering lead at On Deck and founded two independent startups, Zettlor and Toadly, both of which he successfully built and sold. As an active investor, Waterfield has helped allocate capital to more than 40 companies through his work sourcing deals for Village Global and Shaan Puri's venture fund. He also co-manages the Investment Club Syndicate on AngelList alongside Ian Logan and has advised over 100 early-stage companies on accelerator preparation and pitch deck reviews. A computer engineering graduate of the University of Waterloo, Waterfield currently focuses on providing product strategy, fractional technical leadership, and fundraising guidance to early-stage founders.
