Zachary Kushel

Zachary Kushel is the Managing Partner at Marin Sonoma Impact Ventures, an impact-focused venture capital firm currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Before establishing his current firm, he gained early venture investing and operational experience at Claremont Creek Ventures and completed his higher education at UC Berkeley. Kushel currently oversees funds with more than $50 million in assets under management, directing capital toward early-stage startups operating in climate technology, sustainable agriculture, and health innovation. His active investment portfolio features recognizable companies such as GroGuru and Full Harvest, and he recently led a new agricultural technology investment targeting commercial water efficiency in March 2024. Following a recent healthtech portfolio expansion in early 2026, Kushel maintains his primary focus on bridging technological innovation with sustainable business models to generate measurable social and environmental benefits.
