Zak Schwarzman is a New York-based General Partner at MetaProp, where he directs venture capital funds and investment activities across seed, multi-stage, and corporate venture capital. His investment focus centers on property technology startups developing innovative methods to conceptualize, utilize, build, transact, interact with, and manage physical spaces. Prior to joining MetaProp in September 2016, he served as an investor at Gotham Ventures, a seed-stage firm affiliated with the Draper Venture Network, and gained earlier venture capital experience at Canaan Partners, AOL Ventures, and LearnCapital. A Kauffman Fellow, Schwarzman holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Political Economy and Business from Tulane University. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching a graduate venture capital seminar at Columbia Business School, while supporting MetaProp initiatives like the largest PropTech conference in the industry.
