Zhichu Ren

Zhichu Ren is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of LineWise, an industrial artificial intelligence startup. He currently leads engineering, research, and development for the Y Combinator-backed company, which recently secured $1.1 million in pre-seed funding to build AI agents for manufacturing troubleshooting. Prior to founding LineWise alongside co-founders James Kujareevanich and Wenbo Zhang, Ren earned a PhD in Materials Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During his doctoral studies at MIT, he built advanced robotics automation systems and developed the world's first AI copilot for self-directed laboratory experiments.
