Jess Lee is a Partner on the seed and early-stage team at Sequoia Capital, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2016 as its first female investing partner in the United States at age 33, she served as the Chief Executive Officer of Polyvore. She successfully led the social commerce platform through an estimated $230 million acquisition by Yahoo in 2015, having previously started her technology career as a Product Manager for Google Maps. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University, serves on the board of directors for Maven Clinic, and co-founded the industry non-profit organization All Raise. Her current focus centers on seed and early-stage consumer technology and artificial intelligence startups, emphasizing product development, company design, and founder leadership evaluation.
