Josh Lehman

Josh Lehman is the Executive Director at the Urbit Foundation and the Founder of Martian Engineering, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He previously served as the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Starcity, a property technology and co-living startup that participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2016 batch. During his tenure, Lehman helped the company raise a total of more than $40 million in venture capital funding and expand its residential portfolio internationally. Starcity ultimately exited the co-living market when its management operations and assets were acquired by the residential brand Common in 2021. Following this acquisition, he transitioned into the decentralized computing sector, leading ecosystem advancements and speaking at major industry events in 2023. His career focuses on scaling early-stage technology ventures, transitioning from real estate platforms to decentralized software engineering solutions.
