Miriam Rivera is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Ulu Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital fund based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before transitioning to venture capital investing, she served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Google from 2001 to 2006, where she managed global legal operations supporting $14 billion in corporate revenue. Her earlier professional trajectory includes legal and corporate leadership roles as Corporate Counsel at Ariba and as an associate at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. Rivera holds a JD and MBA from Stanford University, where she later co-founded Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs and served on the university's Board of Trustees. Her current professional focus centers on seed-stage venture investments across technology-enabled services, educational technology, and legal informatics while serving on the boards of Sesame Street and the Kauffman Foundation.
